I have been told, by many a monk (and other badly behaved baldys) that meditation is such an important tool, in taking control of your own life.

I have tried many times over the years to meditate, with no real success. I am as sceptical as it gets, in terms of the benefits. To me, its just sitting with your eyes closed.

But I am going to give it a proper go. And try all sorts of techniques to see what works and what doesn’t work, for me of course!

And when I say ‘trying’, I mean really throwing myself in at the deep end, not just dipping my toe in. I will be trying each technique for at-least 2 weeks, or until I got it / don’t got it. This may not be long enough, as some spend years honing this craft, but I would like to feel that it comes naturally.

There will be insightful posts along the way to hopefully educate and inform those that may be interested in meditation themselves. But I feel like meditation is a personal experience, working differently for different people. So the only way to truly find out is to dive in yourself, and see how it feels!
